Site fights to save Stern funnyman

Loveable trans-fat freak Artie Lange, a cast member on the Howard Stern Show for the past five years, has ruefully noted his flirtation with intoxicating substances, among them Jack Daniel’s, cocaine, pancakes and more recently, heroin.
The Horse is a comedy rock god’s pedigree. But fans fear that Lange is emulating his hero and lookalike, John Belushi, who died in 1982 of a heroin overdose at the age of 33.
Purely in the spirit of altruism, a Howard Stern show fan created ArtiesOnDrugs.com in order to “track all the signs that Artie Lange’s on drugs.” Continue reading

Welcome, Robinswrong.com

Robinswrong.com is shaping up as one of the brightest new lights in online journalism, with its relentless examination of the gaffes served up by Howard Stern sidekick and occasional newsbutcher Robin Ophelia Quivers.
Thanks for visiting my blog, Robinswrong readers. For the past nine months or so, I’ve used this site to deliver irreverent original songs and stories of my own adventures in the comedy music biz.
Take a minute to check out Her Shit Don’t Stink, recently featured on the Red Peters Comedy Music Show on Sirius Radio Howard 101. My song was part of Red’s year-end countdown program, now embroiled in a controversy over alleged vote fraud! Continue reading

Morris is still dead
“I am pleased to report that Jesus is alive and well and poised to return at any moment,” Taylor Kent says, with a level of irony I am not yet prepared to measure, as introduction to his Snark Infested Waters podcast.
Morris The Cat, on the other hand, is still dead, but nevertheless finds a place on Kent’s program. My song closes the show, following a couple of old radio mysteries.
The second episode, an I Love A Mystery presentation of “The Fear That Creeps Like A Cat,” apparently inspired Kent’s selection of my song, available via the Podsafe Music Network. Continue reading

Sirius Radio voting scandal!
This week, Shawno tells a long and pitiable story about how he brought a meat-and-cheese platter to a party and believed that everyone was laughing at him.
But the mood brightens considerably when, fireside chat-style, Shawno reads an extended excerpt from my memorable blog entry, Diebold, Sirius declare fini to countdown show fiasco. In a note of podcast brotherhood, he strongly backs the Turetzky team.
Jen closes with an episode of As The Type Moves, in which she mockingly reads from some other poor schmuck’s Live Journal: Continue reading

Mistakes have been made
“Where mistakes have been made …,” suggests our President, substituting a blank-faced expression of inscrutability for his more familiar used-war-salesman squint.
But as institutions of any sort, White House included, revile the burden of “responsibility,” the questionable Red Peters Comedy Music Show Top 16 poll on Sirius Radio’s Howard Stern/Howard 101 Channel continues to evade serious scrutiny.
If it were a serious subject, I suppose I’d be more concerned about the hacked vote. But despite my efforts to tamp down the controversy, Schnauzer Logic host Robin Goldstein continues to fan the flames. (How’s that for disingenuous political posturing?) Continue reading
