Mad Music Dementia Top 20: Springboard to Demento
Mad Music Dementia Top 20, Episode 07-28
Date: July 20, 2007
Full episode: Mad Music Dementia Top 20 — Episode 07-28
Summary: David Tanny loves funny music, has hosted his own Internet radio show for years, and I don’t think he minds at all that I stepped on his head to get to comedy music icon Dr. Demento.
David was the first Webcaster to play my songs, spinning tracks from my EP, Look What I Made!, on DFSX Comedy Radio.
Turns out DT has an ear for talent. My Fat Ass Itches was the No. 5 song on the DFSX Top 50 for 2004, and four months later, reached No. 3 on Dr. Demento’s Funny Five.
Thanks for the boost, Dave! See ya later!
Uh, remember me?
Until I had a new song to plug, I never gave DT another thought. But then I released I’ll Get Old And Die (introduced this month on another DFSX Radio program, Kahn Man’s Comedy Corner) and needed a little exposure.

So it’s hello again to DT, who recently launched his Mad Music Dementia Top 20 podcast on Wayne Ross’s Mad Music Archive. (Sign up for a free membership to listen).
Thanks to advance support from my long-starved listeners, I’ll Get Old And Die debuted as the No. 2 song on this week’s MMDT20. The 2007 edition of Drinking For England, from friend and collaborator Chris Wilkinson, was No. 10.
Hey, lady!
Dave provides an amusing introduction for my song, devolving into a perhaps unintentional Jerry Lewis impersonation while attempting to pronounce the title. To his credit, he preserved the instant blooper. Select the speaker icon below to listen.
