‘Die’ is still alive

What a ride it’s been for I’ll Get Old And Die on the Mad Music Dementia Top 20.

My song debuted at No. 2, fell to No. 17, dropped out of the poll entirely and then returned this week at No. 5. Way to keep I’ll Get Old And Die alive, fickle voters!

Meanwhile, Chris Wilkinson’s (as The Volume Brothers) Drinking For England also returned to the Top 20 at No. 14. Continue reading

Big Phil meets Long John

“Mr. Turetzky thinks our outro theme music, Smooth Talker (written and performed by my baby brother Big Clay) sounds like ’70s porn music,” Big Phil writes at Big Phil’s Love Parade.

In fact, I do recall making the comparison, Phil, and I want you and Big Clay to know I’m on your side.

When I said Clay’s music “almost demands the return of cheesy ’70s porn,” I was talking about ’70s porn music, but in a good way! As if John Holmes were still alive. Like he never left us. Continue reading
