Predictably, host David Tanny is starting up with the holiday music on the Mad Music Dementia Top 20, beginning the merciless cycle of turkey and Santa songs.
A retro holiday counter-movement, however, appears to be under way with the voters, who placed three Halloween songs in the Top 20 — including Vampire Surprise by Veronique (aka Weird Val) Chevalier at No. 1.
Following the trend, a not so scary Fly Me To The Moon came in at No. 11 in the countdown.
Hold off on the turkey, at least for another few days. Vote for my songs, Fly Me To The Moon and I’ll Get Old And Die, on the MMDT20 ballot.
Meanwhile, Dr. Demento’s standing by, prepared to accept your requests for more of my songs!
