Someone please stop this vicious cycle of mutual reference, this charade of digital collegiality. God knows I’ve lost control of the thing.

It’s almost as if the Podcast Roundup has become a force unto itself; a golem that subsists on references to my music, my blog, my dissipated personality.

Hyper Nonsense co-host Shawno exhaled meaningfully before he spoke, aware that he would only be feeding the monster. And yet, inevitably, he continued:

“Ken also wrote about us again on his blog and he has stated here for the record on our Web site that we are still officially the Whores Of The Podcast Roundup. Because back in the early days when we first played Ken, we mentioned him on like five shows in a row….”

“And now we’ve mentioned him again, so, like here we are!” spouse Jen interjected, oh so naively.

Shawno barrelled forward, ignoring her. “But I’m glad we still hold that title and…turetzkysyndrome.com, people,” he said, hoping against hope that he might here and now put an end to the tiresome backslapping and return to more pressing matters of pop culture.

“I don’t think I need to say anything else.”

The golem rests. But for how long?

And now we’ve mentioned him again  (0:52).
