LWIM! album cover earns Gigwise honor

Incredibly, the editors of Gigwise.com somehow overlooked my comedy music EP, Look What I Made!, for their notorious 50 Most Controversial Album Covers Of All Time feature.

But my album cover is scrappy, and it wasn’t about to be overlooked the second time around. Sure enough, Look What I Made! is the No. 7 selection in the essential follow-up, Gigwise Readers’ Most Controversial Album Covers!

“Bowing down to readership demand, here they are in all their macabre glory,” the article begins. “Starting off tame, a few clicks in and the run-down gets more and more shocking and offensive — especially to those who are religious. Be warned.”

Warning: Explicitly funny!

Now, honestly, I don’t know if it’s better to be first or last on a list of this nature. But nevertheless, here I am. My entry reads:

Ken Turetzky: ‘Look What I Made!’

Folk musician Ken Turetzky claims he’s got as much in common with Adam Sandler and Bill Cosby as his musical contemporaries and this album cover perfectly showcases his, erm, talents.

More funny than disgusting thanks to the overt fakeness of the poo in question, it’s still enough to turn your stomach.

Want your own copy of my infamous album cover? As an extra bonus, it comes with a copy of my CD, featuring five funny tracks, as heard on Sirius Radio, Dr. Demento and blah, blah, blah….

Get the disc now at CD Baby, or from my own store for $10, shipping included.

So THAT’s what that is on the album cover, Ken?

I always thought it was some kind of frog-shaped pottery gone terribly wrong.
