Kahn Man to launch podcast, self

gcastTyrone Kahn’s been calling me every night, counting down the number of days separating civilization and the debut of his new podcast.

A typical conversation goes something like this:

Kahn Man: I’m excited! Only 23 more hours!

KT: Until what, Tyrone?

Kahn Man: Until the launch of the Kahn Man’s Comedy Corner podcast edition!

I’ll Get Old And Die another day

Mad Music Dementia Top 20 PodcastI’ll Get Old And Die took a bye week, came back refreshed and has vaulted into the No. 7 spot on the Mad Music Dementia Top 20 countdown.

This is the fourth appearance on the MMDT20 for I’ll Get Old And Die, which surfaced in the No. 2 spot on July 20.

Slow as I am to produce new music, I’ll Get Old And Die will have to carry me for a while.

‘Die’ is still alive

Mad Music Dementia Top 20 PodcastWhat a ride it’s been for I’ll Get Old And Die on the Mad Music Dementia Top 20.

My song debuted at No. 2, fell to No. 17, dropped out of the poll entirely and then returned this week at No. 5. Way to keep I’ll Get Old And Die alive, fickle voters!

Meanwhile, Chris Wilkinson’s (as The Volume Brothers) Drinking For England also returned to the Top 20 at No. 14. Continue reading

Dropping like a rock

Mad Music Dementia Top 20 PodcastHow the mighty have fallen.

It seems like only a week ago — in fact, it was only a week ago — that I’ll Get Old And Die debuted as the No. 2 song on David Tanny’s Mad Music Dementia Top 20 show.

Now, sadly, I’m barely hanging in there at No. 17. And Chris Wilkinson’s (as The Volume Brothers) Drinking For England, No. 10 a week ago, is gone completely from the Top 20! Continue reading

So many ways to Die

Manic Mondays Podcast I wrote I’ll Get Old And Die as a protest against the myriad misfortunes that may befall us as we approach the inevitable.

Tom Rockwell, front man for Sudden Death and host of Manic Mondays, released a new song on the FuMPcalled Getting Old Sucks that essentially protests the basic theme of my song.

But we’re both trumped by the dark, dark humor of The Flu Pandemic, an otherwise bright little ditty by Houston Celtic/folk band The Flying Fish Sailors.

Once you’ve heard the chorus, you’ll be singing along like me: Continue reading
