All of a sudden, I know something

The One Minute How-To Podcast

I contend that nobody knows nothin’ about nothin’, which is why we’re in such a mess. I’m just sayin’.

But George Smyth over at the The One Minute How-To finds experts everywhere, and lines ‘em up all week long to explain, in 60 seconds, how you can do what they say they know how to do.

Normally, I don’t like to give away any secrets. But at George’s request, and because there’s no way he was going to feature my profane melodies on his mellow music podcast, Eclectic Mix, I agreed to speak to the folks about my favorite subject, How To Write A Funny Song (Show 193). Slow but hilarious — that’s me!

The Awful Show Podcast

My appearance on The Awful Show has already won new fans, who overlooked a laconic persona to heap eloquent praise on my generic comedy music product:

Summer of Not So Much Love

Schnauzer Logic PodcastIt’s Summer Of Not So Much Love week on Schnauzer Logic, and with three members of the regular cast occupied elsewhere, I’m provided extra time to spin my failed bits and pointless stories.

I open with my own emulation of Albert Brooks‘s mock eulogy for Mort Sahl (you had to be there, and unfortunately, I wasn’t) and emboldened by the desperate laughter (they had no more guests) of host Robin Goldstein and panelist Sheri Stevens, attempt even more humiliating and obscure celebrity impersonations. Continue reading

Who’s your doctah?

Schnauzer Logic PodcastHost Robin Goldstein is back after three weeks off to rest her surgically repaired brain, and I’m called in to consult on my own recent experiences with the health care system. Today we learn that CT scans are freakin’ hilarious!

But what the heck, we’re all Jews here, or we’ve all at least had the sniffles at one time or another. Doctors are our favorite topic.

Before the fun gets out of hand, though, entertainment reporter Jason Nathanson joins the conversation from Hollywood to dissect some casualties from the TV networks’ spring schedules. Andy Richter, anyone? Continue reading
