Date: April 29th 2008

Hello, Everyone:

Here's a rare chance to watch me forget the lyrics to my songs and lose the crowd with obscure jokes not inside the usual smoke-filled bar, but out in the fresh air!

I'll be performing from 8-9 p.m. CDT Friday, May 2, on the Zone Stage at Mayfest 2008 at Trinity Park in Fort Worth.

Organizers expect some 200,000 visitors during the event's run from May 1-4. Mayfest, in its 36th year, claims distinction as "Fort Worth's oldest family and community festival."

What concerns me is the event's reputation as "an unapologetically wholesome and family-friendly festival." These people saw my album cover and still booked me? I mean, the Zone Stage is near a petting zoo!

But Pegasus News says I'll be there, along with local acts Doug Burr, the Drams and the Killdares and big names the Gin Blossoms, the Gourds, the Derailers, Ian Moore and Kelly Willis.

I wonder. Have any of those other bands ever been tossed out of a music festival for playing Her Shit Don't Stink?
