MMA makes room for me in MP3 Store

Always reaching for the elusive puzzle piece to guarantee the smashing success that has long eluded me, I’ve decided the answer is another place to sell my mp3s.

And so, in best self-referential manner, I’m pleased to announce a new addition to the Turetzky Syndrome family of music retail outlets.

For all those comedy fans who never buy my music — and there are so many of you — on iTunes, all of my crap is now available at the Mad Music Archive MP3 Store. Continue reading

Noogie Man sabotages new tune

Rain Man

Chris Wilkinson writes songs the way other people breathe. He’s like one of those special people — savants, I think they’re called  — with remarkable, unexplained talents for mathematics or painting or getting elected president.

For example, I left town for a few weeks’ vacation, and when I returned, Chris greeted me with Whatever Happened To Ken Turetzky and Hello Ken (You’re Back Again). And they were good songs! Better than anything Paul McCartney has written in two years! Continue reading

A tribute to Ken Turetzky

Snark Infested Waters PodcastI sure was great, wasn’t I?

If I wasn’t gone, why else would Taylor Kent devote an entire episode of the Snark Tank Radio Variety Hour to “a tribute to Ken Turetzky”?

I know I haven’t produced any decent music in, like, four years, but am I really in line for a tribute? You bastards!

Snarky’s back, with a vengeance

Speaking of a character who dropped from the radar, old Snarky himself signed off on his former Snark Infested Waters show in July and only recently resurfaced with an entire slate of new podcasts. Continue reading

I’m No. 10 (and 11)!

The Mad Music Show with Cap'n Wayne

Best I can tell, Captain Wayne dispenses with unreliable Internet polling and picks his own year-end “top songs” list for the Mad Music Show.

That worked out just fine for me, as the Cap’n selected Fly Me To The Moon and I’ll Get Old And Die as the Nos. 11 and 10, respectively, new songs for 2007.

Why did he pair my songs on the year-end chart? So they wouldn’t be “lonely.” That’s my kind of methodology. Continue reading

The return of Kip Dynamite

Comedy Music Cellar Podcast

The Comedy Music Cellar has added a new voice to the world of Dementia, in the form of a very mellow host named Reverend Zack.

Now, the CMC playlist is mostly the same old crap you can get on any number of comedy music podcasts. And that includes My Fat Ass Itches, featured on the current episode.

What defines the show is the Kip Dynamite-ish Rev. Zack himself, (See Comedy Music Cellar: A new demented podcast joins the fray), who dryly invites listeners to “open up your heart and let the lunacy in.” Continue reading
