At long last, somebody gets my music

Cult Radio A-Go-Go Internet radioLeggolambe is another of these ruined reprobates who chose, at some defined moment in life, to cast away all pretense and let the world know what he thinks at each and every moment of the day.

The result is a myspace page (representing his band, the Whiskey Sournotes), filled with raw, wailing guitar, on original tracks with titles such as I Shit My Pants, Hardcore Porn, Rich SOB and Go All The Way.

Check leggo’s tour schedule and you’ll be hitting such venues as “Public Hanging” (May 20 in Whoopsies, Texas), “God, Women are Beautiful!” (July 22, Angel City, Minnesota) and “City Dump” (May 1, Edina, Minnesota). Continue reading

D.T. delivers the Top 50 songs of 2007

Mad Music Dementia Top 20 Podcast

One season of the Mad Music Dementia Top 20 was more than enough for founder and host David Tanny.

He’s dumping the show. The MMDT20 will return in 2008, but under new management.

But DT closed the year with a flourish, wrapping up with a two-part, Top 50 countdown that included two of my familiar tracks.

Notably, I’ll Get Old And Die finished 2007 at No. 39, as requested by voters, and Fly Me To The Moon wound up at No. 32. Continue reading

Fishing for compliments

Big Phil's Love Parade PodcastBig Phil is a busy pervert with many friends and an active mind. These are ample qualifications for the role of podcast host.

On a weekly basis, Phil torments credulous listeners with stories big and small of his encounters with starving animals, Realtors, politicians and peace activists, credit card billing agents and other evildoers.

But the Love Parade really shines during those merciful weeks when Phil cuts the chatter and programs one of his beloved music shows.

“I always enjoy these music shows. I always get a lot of positive feedback,” Phil says. Continue reading

Outrageous! MMA audience in revolt

Mad Music Dementia Top 20 PodcastSo Dr. Demento finally played one of my songs. So I got a little uppity and told those sawed-off podcasters at the Mad Music Archive that I didn’t need them any more.

Can you blame me? I mean, what would you do if you suddenly got a taste of the big time? Reach back in the gutter and pull out an old cigar butt?

Well, the laugh’s on me, I guess. A couple of weeks have gone by and Dr. Demento hasn’t played any more of my songs. And, if you can believe it, the denizens of the Mad Music Archive are Mad At Me!
